"Nallan Station was originally named Poplar Downs around the turn of last century. Cath and Dave are eager to embrace this opportunity for tourists to visit and are busily renovating the Shearers Quarters ( built late 1920's), the amenities, laundry, toilet & shower block and camp kitchen are all getting a refresh, incorporating modern conveniences but not losing any of the rustic charm that makes this property so unique and 'must see' location. So visitors can enjoy the convenience of our new renovations combined with the charm of yesteryear. There will be two double rooms, and four twin singles, with a huge kitchen and dining area.
Also available is a 2 bedroom, fully self contained cottage, complete with large country kitchen, modern bathroom, air conditioning, laundry and huge Dining and Living area.
This former Overseers Accommodation has also been built along a similar style to the Main Homestead, utilising local recycled materials.. wonderful high ceilings, polished dark timber floors, the old original Metters wood stove, return verandahs to sit out on and enjoy a cold beverage, all add to the charm of this delightful cottage.
There will be greened caravan camp sites (non powered) and remote eco friendly bush sites, ready for our tourist season 2019.
Our working Cattle Station of 248,000 acres provides ample opportunities to relax or explore, experience the natural surroundings with bird watching, bush walks- exploring our geological wonders or soaking up the magnificent vista that is the night sky.

The Nallan Station Homestead has historic significance, was built in 1920 and is one of the early pastoral stations established in the Cue district.
The original homestead was of timber and iron construction and lined with decorative pressed metal sheeting. An additional six rooms were later added using materials from the Old Cue Hospital. Later additions incorporated building materials from a maternity hospital originally located in Sandstone. It is also evidence of the way in which building materials were recycled throughout the district.
As of September 2016, the main Homestead is the Private Residence for the owners Cath and Dave together with family and consists of 14 rooms, including 6 bedrooms, a dining room, sitting room, kitchen and bathroom.
