Carinya is a 6600ac farm catering for the self contained camper & those who want to experience our style of station life 1st hand.
We run Merino & Merino X sheep for wool production & trade lamb sales along with dry land cropping a free range egg business, pigs, cattle & horses working dogs & more recently have ventured into feral goats.
The time of year, family commitments & the weather will determine whats going on at the station for you to experience.
We are not your ordinary farm stay. We encourage our guests to be involved. We expect you to be friendly, participate, have a interest in farming & how we work. If you have a trade we’ll let your tyres down & you can stay forever!
All guests are required to attend a farm tour at 9AM on your 1st morning, this covers safety, animal husbandry and provides an opportunity to answer questions.
Thursday night we have a communal dinner by the campfire, we encourage you to be involved & bring a share dinner.
Come to Carinya for the experience, a good time & to make friends – Don’t come here because we’re cheaper than staying in town.

    Carinya Awsome

We heard about Carinya Station while on the road. What a great stop it was! After taking the time to read on the board (cleverly thought of by travellers) regarding jobs that needed doing daily, we jumped right in. We took "stray kids 😍" with us to feed the Puppies, Pigs, Lama, Geese, Sheep and Chooks. (btw the egg collecting was amazing). Familys that came for a couple of days and often stayed a week! Jo and Jacinda welcomed eveyone each night around the firepit. They were in drought and were doing it tough, but they were a positive, happy lovely family. (Jo and Jacinda i give you a 10!) Be prepared to jump in, its so rewarding! We loved staying at Carinya Station and look forward to being able to visit again one day.
