Mellenbye station is a working cattle station. We are located 6.5kilometres off the sealed Morawa Yalgoo rd, Yalgoo. Mellenbye station is an easy 4.5 hour drive from Perth or half an hour North of Morawa on sealed roads. During July until late September you will see the unique Wreath flower and of course glorious everlastings.
We are open for guests to stay during these months or at other times by prior arrangement. To enable visitors to the area to enjoy the wildflowers, starry nights and sitting by the campfire, we offer the opportunity to stay on the station, during the wildflower season. Camping and other accommodation options are available.
Guests can stay in the camp area with access to a well appointed camp kitchen with 24 hour power, flushing toilets and rainwater showers as well as access to the historic shearing shed. There are low cost shearers quarters rooms, generous size air-conditioned donga rooms and homestead rooms available. Guests in roomed accommodation have access to the camp kitchen to cook their meals. Please be aware the gate is locked outside of wildflower season, permission prior to entry is required to enter the property during the months of October until June. As we are out working on the station during the day it is best to contact us by email.
We officially opened in 2018 and will continue to add to and improve facilities available. Please check the website at Mellenbye.com.au and also our Facebook page for details, costs and updates. Camping for self contained guests is available of $10.00 per night per person.
